The project requires the installation of electronic locks and GPS devices recognized by both Macao Customs and Mainland Customs on cargo vehicles, in accordance with their regulatory requirements for cross-border goods. It will provide a data-sharing platform for cross-border operations to expedite the transit clearance process and enable rapid clearance and release of Guangdong-Macao trucks under the integrated customs clearance framework of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The system fully addresses the security and efficiency requirements for cross-network data transmission between the two customs authorities, establishing secure, stable, and efficient data transmission channels and mechanisms. It also takes into account the differing operational environments, working practices, and language requirements (including linguistic conventions) of the two customs authorities, ensuring compatibility with their existing business systems. Furthermore, recognizing the critical importance of high system availability, the project employs measures such as hot standby to ensure stable system operation and smooth customs clearance, thereby enhancing overall clearance efficiency.
